EARLAND, Texas -- A Willowridge High School teacher was jailed in Pearland Wednesday morning, accused of having sexual relationships with several high school students...Melvina Strickland-Terry, 35, was indicted on charges of indecency with a child, sexual assault of a child and improper relationship between an educator and student, the Brazoria County Sheriff's Office said Tuesday. As soon as the allegations arose, Strickland-Terry quit her job at Willowridge High School!!! Investigators were tipped off about the activity this past March.
According to reports from the Sheriff's Department, the contact with the students occurred at her apartment.She appeared before Justice of the Peace Wayne DuBose, and her bail was set at $75,000. All the charges are second-degree felonies punishable by a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison.This indictment was handed down by a grand jury in Brazoria County.
